Themes Points are given for each aspect, and assigned to each planet, sign, and house involved.

The point value is based on the tightness of the orb, the importance of the planet/point/angle, and the type of aspect (square, trine, etc).

Signs and houses are also given points based on important placements like Sun, Moon, Ascendant, etc being there.

Aspects are given negative modifiers if they are out of sign and/or between two outer planets.

Element, mode, and polarity are calculated using the points from the aspects, but adding in more weight to the signs of the personal planets.
